Can you guess why I'm so happy?! Because It's October! My favorite month of the year! I celabrated this morning by watching the first official seasonal movie of the month: "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Oh boy, I love Halloween! But ya know why else this is my favorite month? Because it's the month in which I was born! In fact, my birthday is in 3 days! Yesterday, it was in 4 days.
Yesterday, I watched a non-seasonal movie "Milo and Otis". Such a cute movie!
Milo's mom: Milo, I've told yo again and again, Please! Don't walk on the chickens!!
Before that though, I did some work on my Halloween costume yesterday. I spent 6 hours cutting, pinning and sewing only half of my costume (give or take a few minutes). It's so amazing! I feel so accomplished! My dad didn't think I could do it. Of course he HAD to be off that day... -.- He's like "Why don't you take that to your grandmother's house and use her sewing machine?" Sewing machine Shmewing machine! I don't need no stinkin' sewin' machine! I've got good ol' fashioned needle and thread! And I did it! All by myself! Ha! Eat that, all you non-believers! It looks just like it does in the book, at least I can't make it any more precise. The only difference is, I made my dress a little longer in the front than Chi's dress. (Sorry boys, no panty shots this year! ^_~) I may try to hike it up just a tad for better illistrational and literary accuracy though. Maybe I'll snip some more tulle from the front... That would make sense. ^_^ Anywho, I still have to figure out how I'm going to make the rest of this dress. It's so intricate! I also need more fabric for the big bows on the back of the skirt. I've already made a mental list of the stores I need to go to to get what I need. Oh, this is gonna be so awesome! Maybe my future isn't in music at all. Perhaps it's in visual art or seamstressing (is that what you call it?). I do seem to be a lot more enthusiastic about art and Anime than I am about my guitar playing. I dunno. Anywho, I still have to practice so my mom can take me to those stores! I have to be a good girl! ~_~
