Woah Baby!
Feb. 7th, 2007 01:24 pmWow.
I went shopping last night for materials to make my Sora costume for MegaCon. Made quite a few stops. First I went to Ross. I had to return some things that I bought last Saturday and didn't need. Didn't find anything else in there, so I went to TJ Maxx. Nothing in there. So I went to Target. There I found two items of clothing that would contribute to the main frame of my costume. Woot! (Don't worry, all these stores were in the same plaza.)
So then, I had to get all the accessories and fixin's. I ended up driving over to Wal*Mart Supercenter. There I pretty much found everything else! I got a pair of boots, stuff with which to decorate them, all sorts of accessories to elaborate on and embellish the costume; ribbons, threads, zippers, hardware, you name it! I got some fingerless gloves, some silver fabric, yadda yadda yadda, you get the picture. So. I go to the checkout line. Ya know how much money I spent last night? (in addition to the $12 I spent at Target) Appx. $94! And that's not including the $35 I spent on Saturday!
My goodness, I think this is my most expensive costume yet! I still have to get materials to make the Keyblade! I wonder how much that's gonna cost me! I don't remember how much my Chi costume cost; my Halloween Sora costume was about $100. My Faye Valentine costume that I'll make later this year will probably be pretty cheap. Unfortunately, it seems that all the costumes I make this year require me to go out and buy a new pair of boots... T_T They'll most likely be the most expensive part of the Faye costume. Oh well. All the more reason for me to go out and get a high-paying job. ^_^
Well, you'll be seeing that costume pretty soon! I'll take pictures.
Ta ta-ta!
