I am but a bird...
Aug. 19th, 2005 09:01 pmHello, everyone!
How's it hangin'? Pretty good, I hope. Wow. The System Of A Down concert KICKED MAJOR ASS!!! I'm so amazed that I got to see it. I'd heard that SOAD was awesome, and I finally got to hear them for myself. I LOVE ASHLEY DEMATTOS!!! She is the best friend in the world! If it wasn't for her, I'd never have seen SOAD. So, thank you, Shleee! You rock! And so does System Of A Down! The concert was so awesome! There were 2 oppening bands; one was Bad Acid Trip. I don't think I liked them very much. Maybe it was the fact that it was live and I wasn't too familiar with their stuff, but I couldn't understand a thing. It wasn't just the words I didn't understand, it was the music. I didn't distinctly hear one note or chord. I couldn't even tell you what key the music was in. The second opening act was pretty good. I liked them more than Ashley did. She liked Bad Acid Trip more than I did. But the important thing was that we both love SOAD! Anyway, I forgot their name, but they were cool. SOAD kicked major ass! I can't believe it! They fuckin' rocked my socks!! There was a pair of dudes sitting in front of Shlee and me and during the second opening act there was this dude playing an awesome flute solo. One of the dudes shouts "Flutes are the shit!" It was so funny! I told Judy today "Flutes are the shit!" She laughed. I still have to tell Sonali. Heehee! Anywho, SOAD was great. They played basically all the songs from their album Mezmerize except for "Old School Hollywood Baseball". And I was really looking forward to hearing "Theta Waves". They didn't to that one either. Oh well. The show was off the wall! They did this absolutely fantastic intro to "Cigaro" which was totally amazing! It made Ashley's and my night! When they did the actual song "Cigaro" it was amazing! The performance was super! The show didn't end until about 11. Then they charged us $1 for a cup of ice. Rediculous! I got over it. You see how addicted to ice I am that I'm willing to spend a dollar for a cup full?! Ice is supposed to be free! OMG! That kinda pissed me off a bit. But other than that, Wednesday night was among the best nights of my life! Awesome!
The other night was awesome, but yesterday certainly could have been better. It was basically a normal day for the most part, but at lunch I learned something about a friend that was quite shocking. I wish I hadn't heard that.
Other than that, yesterday afternoon I got a huge boost of confidance; I actually, finally got up the nerve to ask out Aaron!! He's so adoreable! I saw him yesterday just as he was leaving work (I was off). So, I decided to go for it and walk up and talk to him! He's so sweet! I started up this nice little conversation, too!
Unfortunately, it ended in pain and heartache... and somewhat accomplishment. As much as I'm disappointed, I don't feel as bad as I usually do when I'm rejected. I mean, he's taken. There's actually an excuse this time for rejecting me. It's not like "Oh, no I don't wanna go out with you because I don't like you. You suck." So, it wasn't all that bad. However, I am but a bird that's been shot down by the arrow of love. It still hurts, but not half as much. It's ok. I'll wait. Heehee! Or I can just move on, but based on the type of person I am, I really don't see that happening for quite some time now. Well, there is this one kid at my school... and another guy that worked with me, but he left for college and I probably won't see him for quite some time...
Well, Here's just about the most eventful times as of now. Have fun reading, kiddies!
P.S.
Read the LJ cut. It is long, but bear through it. I know you can!
