Dun da da dunnn!!
Nov. 1st, 2005 12:22 pmHey, Everyone!
I've got the Power! Yeah, really this time. ^_^ Electricity finally came back on the morning of Halloween. I was so happpy! But I had to work on Halloween, a day I'd originally requested off so I could go Trick-or-Treating. Didn't get to. That sucked. But other than that, I did have a little Halloween Movie Marathon yesterday in my room all by myself. It would have been more fun if I had someone over to watch movies with. Oh well. That's what happens when you go to Dreyfoos. All your friends live miles and miles away from you and couldn't come visit you if they tried. Unless they have everything including a car and enough gas to drive all the way over here in this hurricane-ravaged traffic jam of a state right now.
What sucks even worse is that I didn't even have a costume. My mom practically refused to take me to get fabrics or buttons to put the finishing touches on my costume. I couldn't even wear what I have so far because I have no clasps to sew on it to make it close. I also was going to dye some materials, but because of the stupid hurricane there was a water shortage and I had to avoid frivolously wasting water. That and I had to work pretty much every day since Wilma hit. (The store now has full power since two days ago and finally has parishables and refrigerated goods again!)Publix is starting to suck the life out of me. It really is. I was really upset last night standing there in the store without being able to show my Halloween spirit. My dad went out to get me some vampire fangs, but they were the retarded ones that look so incredibly fake that I couldn't even show my face with them in my mouth. So, I just wore some kitty ears. I was even thinking of going as Sora from "Kingdom Hearts" when he was in Halloween Town, but I still couldn't put together anything in time. Sora Had fangs. u.u This has basically been the wosrt Halloween ever. Even worse than the one when I was twelve and got grounded and couldn't go Trick-Or Treating. At least then I had a costume.
I treated myself to a treat when I came home last night. I bought a pint of Dove ice cream with the layer of chocolate ganache on top and watched the freakiest movie I could think of: "May". That movie kicks ass, but it's one of those movies that's so intense you can only watch it once a year. What better day than Halloween, right? Well, at least I still have a reason to finish making my costume. I can wear it to the next anime convention that comes to town; I think it's MegaCon. Chibi-Pa is this weekend and I have to get my Chi costume together so Shlee and I can go together as Light Chi and Dark Chi. It'll be so much fun! My first anime convention! I feel like such a newb. My mom never let me go to any of the previous cons because my "ducks weren't in a row". Well, this time, if there is a single duck that even so much as lags behind, so help me I will be having Duck A L'orange for dinner!
After suffering without hot showers for a week, I finally get them back and they are taken away from me again because of the stupid broken water pump. I really hate our water pump. It always seems to be dying. During my shower today the water was still warm, but I still froze to death because there wasn't enough water to fill the entire room with warmth and steam. Miserable.
I realize I'm complaining a lot, but hey, isn't that what LJ's are for? ^_^
Well, that's enough ranting for now. Ciao!
